"Just about every interaction with this office has been unpleasant.
They screwed up the date on our vehicle policy activation after we verbally confirmed it, and when we called back, they said to not worry about it and that we were covered anyway (it was a several week difference between activation dates). The main State Farm line said we were NOT covered. We would have been without insurance for weeks because of their error. This would have laid a huge liability on us if anything had happened, and it was only fixed because of the corporate line call.
We also got turned down for homeowner coverage for some vague “upkeep” and “roof” issues on a house we JUST bought and that passed inspections with flying colors and no issues. When I explained this and asked what could be done, the lady on the phone blew me off entirely. So there’s another problem we have to solve on our own.
If this is what a “good neighbor” is supposed to be, then I’ve missed this episode of Mr. Rodgers’.
Editing to reply to the agency:
Ma’am, with respect, I did get it wrong about it being weeks, but the rest of your reply is inaccurate. We had to go through corporate to get the situation fixed. My wife called your office to confirm our policy was active on the proper date, was told it was, and then double checked with corporate and was told it wasn’t. Furthermore, there was only one family member who was asked about policy dates - her. There’s only two family members on our policy and she’s the primary point of contact. She had to get corporate involved to get it fixed. The error in dates would have rendered us without coverage for several days.
As for the issue with the underwriters, that may be their fault, but the call about it was still not effective. We got no solution or alternatives, I requested a second opinion/review and my ask was essentially ignored."

"Owner was on my social media being nosey and I blocked her. Then had one of her employees call me to add someone to my insurance which I thought the person was already on there, but wasn’t because of her incompetent employee who initially did my policy. When the employee asked me about the situation, I gave all the needed information and informed her that I thought the person was already listed on my policy and assumed she was talking about my son, which she wasn’t so I was a bit confused at first. After realizing she was talking about my husband, I informed Lisa that he was already on the policy and Lisa stated the guy didn’t add him years ago when I initially got insurance through them. I DO NOT have to hide anybody on my policy at all. After I blocked the owner on social media, she sent me cancellation notices to not renew my insurance and listed potential undisclosed driver which is the fault of an employee who obviously no longer works there for a good reason.
I called State Farm Corporate office and they stated the person Shadonna Lewis claimed that is not on my policy is actually on my policy and have been on my policy because my insurance cards have both our names on them and always have. So, I’m not understanding the issue with my policy. Just unethical business.
Update: After contacting State Farm Corporate and speaking with Shadonna, my policy will be reinstated. However, the time and effort required to resolve this issue should have been addressed proactively to prevent it from escalating to this level."
